The Matthew Nicholls Foundation has secured a long-term loan of orchestral instruments from Lewisham Music Hub for exclusive use within Manchester schools.  They will be distributed by One Education for use by children who are living in challenging circumstances where there is a desperate lack of musical instruments for them to practise on.

“The Charitable Foundation is still looking for additional instruments that people may have at home, lying unused.  If you would like to donate an instrument you have which will be greatly received and just as importantly used, please get in touch.”

Matthew had grown up in Wilmslow and had spent the last 5 years of his life in Lewisham and in acknowledgement of this the Foundation is actively developing projects and initiatives which bring children from both North and South areas together to build upon their musical and cultural ties and to develop their musical skills and experiences.
