Suzanne set herself a series of physical challenges during the year of her 50th birthday starting in May 2018. The aim was to take herself out of her comfort zone and face activities that she had never experienced whilst raising funds for The Matthew Nicholls Foundation.
Some of Suzanne’s achievements include:
Blackpool Promenade 10 mile Road Race (May 2018) – “Brilliant event and emotional. I thought about the reason behind all the challenges today”
10K North Yorkshire run (June 2018)
Scarfell Pike climb (July 2018) – “Incredible day and definitely the hardest challenge to date”
Bury Clarion Women’s Night Ride – 60 miles (September 2018) – “Only four of us managed to achieve the 60 miles. Feeling proud as I was the only non-cycling club member to do the 60 miles”
Manchester Half Marathon (October 2018) – “No running training so very chuffed to have got round in 2 hours 18 minutes”
‘The Way of the Roses’ – a 171 mile cycle route from Morecambe to Bridlington (April 2019)
Yorkshire Three Peaks (May 2019) – “Incredible but painful day. Really long and tough 11 hours”
“Just to say a massive thank you to everyone who has sponsored, accompanied and supported me over the last 15 months whilst completing various events and challenges in aid of The Matthew Nicholls Foundation. I have raised £1335 in total plus £250 in a separate donation from Manchester City Supporters Club”.
